The Clara White Mission was founded in 1904 in Jacksonville, FL by Clara English White, a former slave whose empathy and compassion for humanity moved her to action. Throughout the past century, the Mission has been dedicated to serving the needs of the less fortunate in their community. The MIssion offers meals for the hungry as well as transitional housing for the homeless. The offer educational and training programs, as well as job placement.

Part of Mission’s goal is to deliver hope and a way off of the streets. To help this goal, the Mission offers vocational programs to put people to work. The Mission helps feed over 10,000 homeless men, women, and children every year.
