On Monday, February 6 at 8:00pm, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando will be hosting the play “The Laramie Project.” The play concerns Laramie, Wyoming, where in June of 2008 members of Tectonic Theater Project visited to see how the town had changed since the murder of Matthew Shepard in 1998. The play examines how we construct our own histories, particularly in small towns.
The play is being presented by Baggy Pants Theater and is taking place at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando in Maitland, Florida. Tickets are $15 and the Baggy Pants Theater is donating $5 to the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida for each ticket sold!
The GLBT Community Center of Central Florida has been in operation for 32 years and is a source of information, advocacy, and support for all of Central Florida.
