On January 22, 2012, a local Orlando group called Good Karma for All is teaming up with ECO-Action to help remove dangerous debris that is harmful to wildlife in Clear Lake. Both groups are inviting volunteers to assist in these beautification efforts and removal of the litter at Clear Lake. Clear Lake is located at 1828 Mable Butter Ave., Orlando.
Activities for volunteers include trash pickup on the lake shore done by both walking and canoeing. Hey, everyone loves canoeing. Even me, and I hate the outdoors, period. Anyone wishing to volunteer should meet at 1828 Mable Butter Ave. on January 22 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Volunteers should be sure to wear work shoes or boots as well as work gloves.
Good Karma for All and ECO-Action will be supplying garbage bags, pickers, and refreshments. Volunteers are asked to sign in with ECO-Action before beginning trash pickup. For more information, please contact [email protected].
