Yesterday was Thanksgiving and while most of us were spending time with family and friends, the Salvation Army and Golden Corral teamed up to feed the needy in Orlando on Colonial Drive. The 19th Annual Helpings From the Heart event helped to serve up 4,000 pounds of turkey meat, 3,000 pounds of ham, 38,000 pounds of mashed potatoes, gravy, and other vegetable dishes, pies, and fruit to those in need. Wow.
Over 45 professional chefs and hundreds of volunteers helped to serve the needy in one of the Salvation Army’s biggest Thanksgiving event yet. Wanting to help however we could, One Fat Frog Restaurant Equipment donated some equipment for the event. One of the head at Golden Corral called Boss Frog last night to let him know that for the first time in years, there was no problems with the equipment. That was very nice to here and One Fat Frog Restaurant Equipment was glad to help feed those in need on Thanksgiving.
