Hello Internet! With the new year approaching our internet team here at One Fat Frog decided to put together our list of top songs of 2014! Here’s the deal though, I was warned when I started working here that I would see the world through Restaurant Equipment Lenses…I didn’t believe them it…it happened. So please enjoy the top songs of 2014 as we ,in the Restaurant Equipment Business, hear them:
1. Taylor Swift – Bake It Off
Taylor Swift dominated the airwaves with the release of her fifth studio album 1989. Try as you might you can’t escape the infectious hook and the beat that appears to feature a rhythmic goose honking. What Swift probably didn’t anticipate is that she would have written an anthem for bakery owners all over [Our imagination]. So when she comes on tour to Tampa and Miami bring this girl some bread.
This song jams out well with: Bread Ovens, Bakery Cases, Prep Tables, Bread Slicers, Heating Cabinets, proofing ovens, toasters, Dough Mixers
2. Meghan Trainor – All About That Case
Meaghan Trainor became an overnight sensation with her bubbly groove All About That Bass. It empowered all of us to embrace our curves. Embracing our curves means that I can have more guilt free trips to the deli. Enter, All About That Case, because every deli needs a sharp heavy duty case.
This song jams out well with: Slicers, Sandwich Prep Tables and you guessed it Deli Cases.
3. Nick Jonas– I Still Get Deli
The tiniest Jonas brother broke from the pack with Jealous. Not only did he make most girls wish he was getting all up in arms over them, but he made deli slicers sexy again (as IF they needed any help). Jonas has yet to specify if he’s singing about a bread or cheese slicer (huge difference ‘kay?!) but art is meant to be debated I suppose.
This song jams out well with: Conveyor Ovens, Slicers, Prep Tables.
*note: One Fat Frog does not recommend holding a slicer the way Nick Jonas is holding it*
4. Iggy Azalea – Fancy
It’s so fancy (NSFW lyrics) (as you already know). They’re already used in the fast lane…from fast-casual to buffet-yo.
Yep we went there, to the world of Iggy Azalea. Although the song might not be as screamingly-obvious for your usual equipment, at least he made nice homages to liquor (we here at the Frog argue that she was alluding to our bar equipment)
BONUS: Hozier – Take Me to Church’s [Fried Chicken]
You can’t un-hear this.
This song jams out well with: Fryers…duh!
