Combining two things that normally don’t go together to make them wonderful is not an easy task. I mean, here at One Fat Frog we mixed restaurant equipment with fun and the outcome was beautiful. When was restaurant equipment ever fun before One Fat Frog?! Never…it never was. But it is rare when someone successfully accomplishes such a fusion, and Tako Cheena does it perfectly. Owned by Pom Pom’s Teahouse & Sandwicheria, (I raved about them in a blog post a couple days ago) Tako Cheena is a delicious delight. I had first heard about this place from of my friends dad. He is the sassiest vegan you’ll ever meet and assured me that Tako Cheena catered to both vegans and animal killers (that’s what he calls us carnivores). And boy was he right. My vegan friend Helen and I decided to check it out one night around 2am. They stay open super late on weekends! I got 2 panko crusted cod takos and a vegetarian empanada and Helen ordered 2 Indian yellow curry tofu takos. 
The food absolutely blew me away. I had never been one to enjoy soft tacos but these were like no other. The Latin and Asian elements blended perfectly and this frog couldn’t have been more pleased. Not only was the food amazing, the atmosphere was so chill. Everyone who works there has a delightful laissez-faire attitude. This is definitely the place to go for a laid back time and great food.
