Cool call in from Tony… I sort of feel like a radio deejay at this point.  Said he liked our sense of humor and had to remind himself to go to work after reading for a few hours.

Thanks for the smile, Tony, you made my day.  As they say in the office, all we need to do is egg on Google Girl and it will never end.  <insert evil chuckle>  This ensures that you get to hear even more of my smart arse stories… and well you just may or may not regret that….

So today a few semi-truck loads later.  Semi’s mean either a lot of equipment going in or going out.  Today was new equipment coming in.  A plethora of NEW equipment in:  29″ refrigerated sandwich preparation tables, 27 & 29″ & 48″  megatop — all Entree brand- reversible doors- can hinge on the fly on left or right easily, super quality and heavy duty, new sinks and new .  Also a new 20 quart mixer in.  Have also received a few used items yesterday and today that I didn’t post:  48″ True megatop with double overshelf- verry nice, Lang custom combination unit with flat griddle, double range top and 1/2 convection oven, 3 compartment sink, Winston heat and hold full-size mobile oven, Alto Shaam combi-therm, Unox 1/4 sheet electric oven, and coffee equipment.  In/ out… in / out… it’s been crazy this afternoon.  Thought this a.m. was quiet, looked at the computer geek across the office and said, this is the calm before the storm, isn’t it?  True enough… wheels on full speed.

Also some sad news.  Sorry to share that Aquaman’s long-term girlfriend passed from cancer.  Having gone through colon cancer in my immediate family it’s hard to deal with.  Grieving is hard, that’s for sure.  No other words but dying sucks for those of us left.  We had a long talk about “it’s just stainless” and thus it is.  With money and skills we can fix any piece of restaurant equipment.  But all the money in the world won’t fix terminal illness.  Enjoy your family members, life is short, love hard!

Special thanks to our friend Sue at Chik-fil-et on South OBT for taking care of the Frog delivery guys with a breakfast chicken platter- Yum!

Seems we just found out the wonderful Mr. G can cook.  He brought in homemade spaghetti and everyone grabbed a fork to try… boy can cook and everyone has lived to tell about it, but then again it’s only been five minutes… hahaha!  Even had a comment from someone who said, “I’m surprised he cooked that.”  Woo hoo… cleaning cooking, sorry girls, he’s already married.

On another good note, just got an email from some of our friends in Costa Rica.  We were worried that they got hit hard by the storms.  Here’s what their email said,

“Hi Google Girl <name changed for secret service reasons… hahaha>,

thanks for asking, we are doing good.

We are having RAIN day and night since Monday, which gets pretty depressing. Well, I guess I should have stayed one week longer since it was so beautiful in Florida.

There have been bad landslides, destroyed bridges etc in the central valley, we have been saved so far, thanks god.

We are still waiting for the container…I will send you pictures when it is set up in the new supermarket.

Have a great day and nice weekend,

L & J”

Another note, one of our clients is going in for valve surgery.  He’s had it previously so this is a repeat (does he get a repeat customer discount?).  Please keep A’s hubby in your thoughts and well-wishes.

Anyhoosit, have a peachy day and drop in.  Bring us food, we like to eat, the girls in the office can’t cook so… well there’s a post coming on that story next.
