Another little article in One Fat Frog Restaurant Equipment’s series on STARTUP about starting up your own little (or big!) restaurant. If you’re reading this chances are you are dreaming about opening your own place and doing the leg work or maybe you’re open and just looking for a muse, well let me be that and give you some food for thought. I’d like you to take out a sheet of paper (I know it’s goofy, but trust me… and I’m not a man, so when I say trust me, well you can trust me…. muhahahha… ya’all know that joke, right?). I want you to write down the name of your very favorite bar/ bakery/ restaurant/ food truck. (We’re trying to be flexible here, kids, so that you can look at your own concept through fresh eyes). I want you to *ONLY* think about your favorite establishment and write down five things about it that make it so absolutely wonderful. Now I want you to take a breath and think about it a bit… what were those five things you wrote down? How will your new establishment meet the criteria you just set up?
