One Fat Frog Restaurant Equipment’s animal rescue efforts continue over at our Sanford location. I was emptying the trash this afternoon when I saw a pair of big black eyes reflecting out of the dumpster. It was a baby raccoon! The little guy was curled up on some coffee grinds. He stood up, didn’t seem scared of me, and I knew instantly he needed help. I hoofed it back to the warehouse, grabbed a chair, and ran back to the dumpster. I put it inside near the lip of the dumpster and the little guy, who I’ve since named Canaan, climbed right out and scurried back into the brush.
I put an apple and my phone number in the dumpster just in case he gets stuck again.
