“Healthy choice” and “brand value” are the strongest motivators for restaurant chains consumers when it comes to decision making, category expectations, and engagement with brands, according to a survey of Brand Keys, a New York based brand consultancy. The survey of 49,000 consumers aged 18-5 years old throughout the country food brands that can meet or exceed customer expectations for experience and authentic brand values lead their categories. Here are the most popular brands:

OVERALL:
1. Domino’s
2. Dunkin’ Donuts
3. McDonald’s
4. Papa John’s
5. Ruby Tuesday
6. Subway

CASUAL DINING:
1. Rub Tuesday
2. Outback
3. Chili’s
4. Olive Garden
5. IHOP/Red Lobster (tie)
6. TGI Friday’s
7. Hooters/Applebee’s (tie)
8. Arby’s

PIZZA:

I’m perfectly okay with these lists, but how in the world did Arby’s get categorized within the “casual dining” section rather than “quick-serve?” Get real.
