First of all, you’re going to need to sell chicken wings. Wings at a sports bar are as ubiquitous as Peyton Manning calling audibles. You’re going to need a deep fryer for the breaded wings and a charbroiler for the grilled wings. Those deep fryers can also be used for onion rings, French fries, mozzarella sticks, and other sports bar staples. Charbroilers can also be used for your burgers, grilled chicken and more. But enough about food. Sports bars aren’t about food any more than the Super Bowl is about the commercials. The most important part of the sports bar – aside from the high-def TVs – is the bar part. Super Bowl XLVIII (that’s 48, btw) should be an exciting one. It pits the NFL’s best offense against the league’s best defense. It’s a matchup of the two most likeable quarterbacks in the game. It’s an excuse to gorge ourselves on wings, nachos, pizza, and beer while watching football with a lot of people who don’t even really like football. It’s the day football fans get to initiate other people into our club for one night before letting them go back to not caring about the world’s greatest sport.
