Maui Wowi Hawaiian sent a release to say that former police detective Randy Tapia is the newest franchise owner of this company specializing in coffee and fruit smoothies. Tapia is a resident of New York and is relocating to Florida to grow his new business.

Tapia said that while working at the police department, “I learned that I enjoy people. Interacting, entertaining, and being entertained; that’s what I enjoy.” He is getting into the restaurant industry to continue serving the public in a new way.
Tapia plans to start his Maui Wowi Hawaiian franchise as a mobile unit with plans to increase his operation as the customer base and income increase. Eventually, Tapia wants to transition to a kiosk.
While researching the company, Tapia says he was surprised by the amount of positive feedback he found for the Maui Wowi franchise. He recalls meeting one particular employee, who raved about the company’s support of its workers. That employee said she was “even considering becoming a franchisee herself.” That admission helped sell Tapia on Maui Wowi. “You don’t hear that too often from an employee,” he said.
