Well, if you’re like the rest of the Frog family, you live in Florida. And if you live in Florida, chances are you know one or two facts about alligators. We got tons of them around here, especially in the Everglades in South Florida. But if you’re looking for big gators, anywhere with them could have them.
So, the alligator hunting season just started in Mississippi, and a hunting party came across a 13-foot, 5.5-inch, and 723.5-pound alligator. That beat the old record by nearly 30 pounds. And they were really excited…for about an hour.
Then a UPS driver out on his hunting trip came back and brought in this guy…
This guy was measured at 13 feet, 4.5 inches, and weighed in at 727 pounds! Sadly, neither gator broke the length record of 13 feet, 6.5 inches, but 727 pounds a heck of a lot of gator meat.
