So it’s Friday, and Professor Frog is ready for a relaxing weekend. Sure, working at One Fat Frog has its perks, but it’s Friday, and Friday lets me be lazy. One of the things I do when I want to relax is enjoy a great TV show. I do like my sitcoms and my dramas, but I also enjoy a good reality show about restaurants, cooking, and food. So here’s my list of favorite shows to watch:

-Bar Rescue: you’ve heard me reference this one a few times. In this show, Jon Taffer, world-renown bar consultant, takes failing bars and turns them around. Throw in a dash of his tough love and no-nonsense approach, and you’ve got an awesome show.

-Kitchen Nightmares: is it weird that I enjoy shows with guys who yell and curse a lot? Just like Taffer, Gordan Ramsey is the tough Scot who finds all the problems with your restaurant and isn’t afraid to tell you what it really is like. And no, you can’t tell him it’s alright; he’ll just get annoyed.

-Iron Chef America: I’ve seen the original Japanese version, and maybe it’s just my patriotic spirit, but I do like the US version better. Though I have yet to see Bobby Flay lose. I’m almost convinced he could win with microwave popcorn; who’s beat him yet?

-Man vs. Food: I enjoy this one because I can’t do the stuff that Adam Richman does. He goes around trying out the different food challenges around the country, and while his record is mixed, some of those challenges seem pretty amazing. And it’s just fun to see some of the crazy things he tries.

These are my favorites. If you’ve never seen any of them, I dare you check them out. They’re pretty awesome.
