Ceviche_largest_Sangria_Tampa

Man, you really hate when you miss stories like this. Earlier this month, a Tampa restaurant put itself in the world record books by making a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge pitcher of sangria. Seriously….it’s really that big.

Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant in Tampa, Florida, wanted to do something big for the 500th anniversary of the founding of Florida. That’s right, folks, our state is finally 500 years old. The staff of Ceviche had another reason to celebrate: their own Sweet 16, celebrating 16 amazing years in Tampa. So, what bigger way to celebrate these momentous occasions than by breaking the previous Guinness World Record for largest sangria ever made.

With that, they made a sangria that included 758 liters of wine, 505 pounds of fruit, 63 liters of brandy, 63 liters of triple sec, and 126 liters of simple syrup. This record-breaking pitcher of sangria also represented the first of Ceviche’s Sangria Fest, which will no doubt become a huge occasion from here on out. And like the awesome people that they are down in Ceviche, not only did they give lots of people a chance to have lots of sangria, but a portion of the proceeds they made from the giant pitcher went to Oklahoma tornado victims. Good for them.

So, a big congratulations to Ceviche from One Fat Frog, selling the best used restaurant equipment in the state, for a great 16 years and an awesomely big, record-breaking pitcher of sangria. Hopefully you continue to see success, and make even more sangria next year!
