Not everyone at One Fat Frog is a sports nut (though we do sell equipment to sports bars), so let me speak on behalf of all here at One Fat Frog, sports nuts and non-sports nuts, by congratulating the Miami Heat on their repeat championship in the National Basketball Association.
First off, I knew while watching Game 1 that this was going to be a tough series, no matter which team won. It was back and forth that entire game with no one getting a lead more than eight points. The Spurs got that game, but then came the Heat, winning in Game 2, and we knew we had a series then.
There was a lot of action, and both teams showed they wanted it. But then came Game 6, the Heat one game away from elimination, when they showed they wanted it more. If you missed it, just try to find the last 30 seconds of the game when the Heat came back to tie the game and go to overtime. And then watch as the Big 3 of Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade pulled the team to victory.
Last night’s game, a Game 7 for the ages in my view, was intense. Neither team led by more than five points before the last minute when the Heat finally pulled away to win with a 95-88 final score.
Both teams proved they deserved to be in the Finals, but the Heat proved they deserved the championship, so congratulations go to Lebron, Dwayne, Chris, and the rest. And while we offer this congratulations, don’t think it won’t stop as Magic fans from rooting against you next year. Until then, have a great summer!
