After a long day of working at One Fat Frog, there is nothing better than relaxing with some friends and enjoying a nice cold drink. Of course, any bar around can ship out the well known beer brands. There is a new trend happening in the bar business and that’s the microbrew. These people and businesses not just serve beer. They make it on site. There are a few places locally that do that, but my own personal favorite is the Hourglass Brewery.
Hourglass’s official grand opening was last August where they brought freshly brewed, home made beer right to Longwood, a small town about 30 minutes north of Orlando. All beers are produced from products right on site, and located between the taproom and their patio area, you can see the room full of their beer-production tools. Not only do they have amazing, homegrown beers made on the premises, but they bring in some of the top name microbrew beers in bottles from around the country. So don’t come here if you’re just looking for a quick Bud Light; the stuff they have here is amazing.
The Hourglass Brewery is located on Ronald Reagan Boulevard just south of State Road 434 in Longwood and they’re open seven days a week. Check out their website at thehourglassbrewery.com. And enjoy that beer!
