We are getting closer to the holidays, and we all know what that means. For some of us, it means rushing to the travel websites to book the best flight to visit family or friends in other regions of the country or maybe the world. For others, it will be fighting local moms in the supermarket for the best turkey. But for everyone, it is about remembering those whom we care about, and remembering those who are less fortunate. We at One Fat Frog are just like everyone else, and just like everyone else, we want to help in any way we can.
For the last few years, we have been working with the great people of Pathways Drop-In Center in Orlando, Florida. This organization is staffed with men and women who work tirelessly to help local residents with mental illness, and nearly every service offered by the organization is free to those who need them. Many of those who need the services are also living in poverty which makes living with their particular illness all the more a hardship. Pathways is there to help those who struggle with these issues, but to help them, they need our help.
That is why One Fat Frog has partnered with them: because the work they do is truly inspiring and it means a lot to us that they can do these great things for those in need. So we are asking those out there to help by offering clothing donations for those that use the help from Pathways. Since we are heading into the winter months, we’re looking for warm clothes, especially jackets in the sizes of large and up, as well as socks, hats, and any thing else that can get them through the colder days.
Anyone interested in donating can drop off the clothes at the Pathways Center (the address and phone number are below) as well as One Fat Frog’s locations in Orlando and Sanford. We at One Fat Frog believe that this is a great cause and we’re willing to do what we can to help. We do hope those out there can help as well.
