The French Laundry may sound like a racy laundromat, but it’s actually a well-known restaurant located in Yountville, CA. Yountville, located in the heart of Napa Valley, is famous the world over for its plentiful vineyards, deep wine cellars, and top-shelf restaurants. Celebrity chef and author Anthony Bourdain called it “the best restaurant in the world, period.” Being considered one of the finest restaurants in the world makes it pretty tough to get yourself a reservation, but as long as you plan at least two months ahead of time, you shouldn’t have a problem.
To make a reservation, call their reservation office at 707-944-2380. Plan on two months in advance. Because of demand, you may be put on a waiting list. You can also make an online resevation through opentable.com. Don’t be picky over what time you want to arrive. Take what you can get!
You’ll need a credit card to make a reservation. The meals at The French Laundry start at $270 per person, and if you cancel last minute, you will be charged $100 per person.
If you’re reserving for a party of 8 or more, plan on reserving a year in advance.
The French Laundry can seat 60 and its dinner hours run from 5:30pm to 9:15pm. Plan on eating for that entire time. See, the restaurant features nine courses, so I’d suggest fasting before arrival. Enjoy!
