Right before John Stamos hit it big with Full House, he was all set to become the next big action star. For his first vehicle, he unfortunately chose to star inNever Too Young To Die, a delightfully insane movie from 1986. Stamos stars as Lance Stargrove, amateur gymnast and the son of a secret agent. After his father is killed, Stargrove teams up with Vanity (from the R&B trio Vanity 6), to stop the maniac hermaphrodite terrorist, Velvet Von Ragnar (Gene Simmons from KISS) from poisoning the city’s water supply. Yes, that is the plot of the movie.

Sadly, Never Too Young to Die was a critical and financial disaster. Years later it went on to become a cult classic (at my house) – embraced by a legion of rabid fans (me). Yes, I do own it on VHS. Come over and watch it sometime. I’ll make popcorn.
