Next I’ll be posting an update on the used restaurant equipment inventory in our South Orange Blossom Trail location and Sanford, FL, but for now I’ll post a little about my dad, because at the end of the day what’s lasting on this earth is the people we feed, not the equipment that feeds them. It’s the imprint we make with our clients, our family and our friends and in restaurants we make that through feeding the soul.
So dad came out of surgery yesterday as I said and had a 5 CABG bypass rather than the anticipated triple bypass. By 8 p.m. they had removed the intubation and this morning he was able to tell my mom, “hi” although he was too tired to say more. I’ll know more later this afternoon but from what I understand he’ll be up and walking this afternoon.
So, I’m grateful. Grateful that each and every one of you is taking a breath today and that your family is safe and healthy and I’m grateful for this miracle performed through the hands of a skilled surgeon. And I’m grateful to the many of you who have added him to your prayer list. May God bless you, too.
