Sorry it was a bit hectic at the Frog yesterday. We were running a smaller crew because some of the guys headed by Aquaman were working over at Pathways yesterday. The Frog was soooo happy to donate the manpower and materials to put in molding in the facility and do some of their honey-do repairs. Aquaman actually fixed their sink and sprayer and did some light electrical, too. Lt. Adams also had work release manpower on the job and it was super easy. I would also like to compliment the work done on the grounds as work release takes care of that too.
Stewardship to the community is an important piece of our commitment to Orlando. Today I talked to Lt. Adams as we’ve just had Dr. Neal Wieder of Longwood Chiropractic offer to donate treating the homeless at Pathways and I was overjoyed to share this with Lt. Adams. She says to me, Google Girl, we have thank you letters for your recent donations, so you get tax write offs. But you know what, we don’t care about that and that is not why we do this. Helping the community is part of the cost of being a responsible community member.
Yes, we’re probably one of the largest staffed and largest volume used dealer in the South. Come down to the OBT location and you’re likely to find our warehouse guys welding, pressure washing, repairing, painting and cleaning. Not one, not two, not three and not four… there are many families that eat each week because of the Frog and we’re proud of this fact. We’re proud of the fact that the Frog is able to provide things to the Homeless Shelter.
And so, I double dog dare you. I know many of our competitors out there read our blogs and copy us. PLEASE, PLEASE copy the Frog and start giving back to the community. If you want I dare you to help out the homeless shelter… give them money, give them time, give to them. And give big.
Here’s the thing I heard a long time ago and it’s proven time and time again. If you give with your heart you will be repaid. Don’t worry about it taking away from your business. There but for the grace you have your business.
As restaurant owners I know you’re in the food service business because of your heart. Like Johnny Drama you love to cook and feed others. It feeds your soul.
Let us come together Central Florida and take care of this charity. It feeds the soul and a little goes a LONG way.
